The sky is breaking!
O glorious celestial fabric, thy time is at its end!
Wide vision of endless coruscating stars!
Stage of the cloudscape's neverending (until now, anyway) play!
What has cloven thee asunder?
What giant's axe thus parted thee?
Fertile Earth's children despair.
A madness seizes humankind!
Hardening its iron grip
As the dreadful cleft widens.
Hark! - ever deeper growls the thunder.
And from that blasphemous rift
A cry. "Man! Eternal fool!
Hath it not been prophesied
That Time himself should turn away
And Earth's foundation break and crumble?
And lo! Time has turned!
